The Outer Planets

Each can be reached only through the Nexuses, the colossal gateways at the heart of the Scape’s network.

They are home to countless civilizations, ranging from fledgling societies to advanced interstellar cultures.

For most of their histories, these planets developed in isolation. The opening of Nexus connections brought them into contact not only with each other, but with the factions and politics of the Scape itself.

Life Beyond the Scape

Outer Planets vary wildly in environment, culture, and technology:

• Oceanic planets where cities drift between storm-lashed waves
• Agrarian societies unprepared for the dangers of interplanetary contact
• Industrial worlds hungry for expansion through the Nexuses

Some see the Scape as a source of trade and progress. Others view it as a threat to their way of life.

The influence of the Scape — and the factions within it — can be felt on every Outer Planet connected to its network.

The Role of the Guardians

While each Outer Planet faces its own challenges, many receive assistance from the Guardians of the Outer Planets.

These individuals work to guide planetary development and help worlds adapt to life connected through the Nexuses.

The Guardians operate independently, and their involvement can shape a planet’s future in profound ways.
