Aspects of the Scape
The Scape is held together by the Prime — the living fabric of reality.
Over centuries of study, those who can shape the Prime have identified five distinct Aspects. Each is a way to influence the weave of existence, channeling the same underlying force toward very different ends.
These Aspects are not “spells” or “tricks.” They are disciplines — the fundamental currents of power in the Scape.
All magical, technological, and metaphysical effects within the Scape can be traced back to one or more of these Aspects.
Prime
The foundation of all others, and the most feared. Prime works at the deepest level, acting directly on the soul and on the structure of reality itself. With enough force, it can erase a person entirely, remove parts of their essence, or twist the world so that a new reality becomes absolute truth.
Because it rewrites reality, Prime’s effects are permanent unless altered again by Prime itself.
Creation
The current of life and renewal. Creation restores and strengthens, bringing vitality where there was none. It can heal the wounded, rejuvenate the land, and empower what already exists to grow beyond its limits. Creation does not erase — it builds, renews, and sustains.
Destruction
The decisive force of unmaking. Destruction reduces what exists to nothing, whether through elemental fury, targeted strikes, or sheer annihilation. It is swift, final, and absolute in its purpose: to remove an obstacle from existence.
Order
The imposition of rules and stability. Order binds, seals, and enforces structure on the shifting weave of the Scape. It can close gateways for centuries, compel unbreakable oaths, and redefine the laws that govern an area. Where Chaos thrives on change, Order insists on constancy.
Chaos
The current of unpredictability. Chaos bends luck, creates sudden openings, and twists events toward improbable outcomes. It cannot be fully controlled, but those who can ride its currents can turn fortune itself into a weapon or a shield.
Working with the Aspects
Most practitioners focus on one Aspect, though some learn to combine them for more complex results. Aspects can oppose or reinforce one another: Creation resists Destruction, Order contains Chaos, and Prime can override them all.
Mastery of any Aspect requires discipline — and every use leaves a mark on the weave of the Scape.
