"Each evening before going to bed we have to wipe down our home as our floor is wet," a woman from one of these communities recently shared with The Waystation: Mandalay - an organization working on ground. Last year, the flooding reached unprecedented levels, forcing families to abandon their homes and seek refuge on the very roads they travel daily – roads that soon disappeared beneath the murky floodwaters themselves.
